Topic: Newt warns of 3rd party | |

Humm very very interesting....
(CNN) — Former House speaker Newt Gingrich is warning of a third party mutiny in 2012 if Republicans don’t figure out a way to shape up. “If the Republicans can’t break out of being the right wing party of big government, then I think you would see a third party movement in 2012,” Gingrich said Tuesday. The speech, to a group of students at the College of the Ozarks in Missouri, was recorded by Springfield TV station KY3. But Gingrich, bemoaning President Barack Obama’s “monstrosity of a budget,” acknowledged that Republicans are partially to blame for the escalation in federal spending. "Remember, everything Obama’s doing, Bush started last year,” he said. “If you’re going to talk about big spending, the mistakes of the Bush administration last year are fully as bad as the mistakes of Obama’s first two, three months.” |

While I don't know what Newt's motivations are, I've been a long time advocate for ending the hegemony enjoyed by the 2 parties.

How about a 4th AND 5th party?

One party or 5 parties, each will have an agenda someone doesn't like and will be a problem somewhere. I don't see a third party once in office that will truly make this country free for all people frankly. They make promises like everyone else and then find reality doesn't fit their own agenda once in office.
Of course just because one party that didn't win doesn't mean they would have done any better in this situation, I don't know why we would automatically assume they would. I never trusted Newt to begin with, I would imagine he would love to get a 3rd party riled up enough to make things harder on the current president and to get things going in a direction more easily controlled by those he can manipulate. Hard not to be suspicious. |

Newt is correct...........Both parties as for my opinion have shown nothing but greed, arrogance, and being very selfish to what they want to accomplish, not for the country's well being, but their own...A third party would do wonders I believe. Hopefully this Independent party will have somewhat HONEST, HARD WORKING, UNDERSTANDING political figures that have been thru rough times and knows what it is like on the other side of the fence.....
INDEPENDENTS ARE COMING, 2012................ |
