I'm not that creative. My daughter likes to draw and color and play with her markers, or ride her bike, or jump on the trampoline or swing, and chase the dogs.

Play with vanilla pudding. You can add food coloring to make it pretty. but just put some on the table and let the kids "draw" shapes, letters and numbers with their fingers. Cocolate pudding or any kind of pudding works just as well. It also works with shaving cream. I tend to use pudding or whipped cream with theyounger kids.
Let kids play with cookie dough (like it was playdough) Make a cookie dough but do NOT add the eggs. Mix it together and let kids have fun making shapes and such with it. You can eat it. Or peanut butter playdough. In winter time When it is way to cold to go outside. Bring the snow inside. get a bucket and put some snow in it. let kids use cars and truchs or other toys. And let them play. A word to the wise put a towel under the bucket. Hollow Eggs - take raw eggs and poke a hole in the top and bottom of the egg. make one hole a little bigger. Blow on the end that has the saller hole and Blow the egg out of the shell. being careul not to suck in the raw egg or to break the egg. Once the egg is all out. Rinse it with water you can soak it in wate or just run water through the holes. set aside till completely dry. Once completely dry Coat it with glue then in glitter. Let dry. then you can eithr glue a ribbon to it so it can be hung up or wraped in plastic wrap to give to someone special. Thats all I can think of off the top of my head. I have a ton of activities. A lot of craft projects. I used to work in a daycare and now as a nanny. |

Creative things like etch-a-sketch, light brite, if they still have spirograph. Also, play doh, silly putty, etc.
Depending on the age, kids will hop on a pogo stick and do this for hours. Swings, slides, etc. |

My son is limited as to what he can do. But he loves when I fill up a dish pan (I keep one just for him) half way with warm water and throw a bunch of his little toys in. He splashes around and has a blast. Just have to remember to put a towel under the pan first.

OooOOOoO awesome ideas.. I HATE summer. I think kids should go to school year round so their little minds wont go to mush. I know some states do just that.
