It's time to have a heart to heart chat. I was talking with one of my girls the other day and she said, that sometimes "relationships don't work because they don't have that extra amp." She defined that as that something special that makes her heart sing.

In fact, she went on to say that if she doesn't feel it in the conversation, it probably won't be there when you meet. Is it a matter of heart or is it like the soul, and you take one look and you're hooked.

I do believe in love and I do think it can happen at first sight for some. I also feel that there must be a spark there for the relationship to grow and perhaps become more.

i've "felt" it during conversation; when we met i wanted to run as far as possible...

i've HAD love at first sight...all of once. i was sixteen, and that lasted until i was twenty. an all-consuming dance...ah, to be young again.

however, in the vast majority of my interactions with people, i've found that while we may move closer to others and be able to find some level of deep regard, it's only the children that we love at first sight (um, and sometimes, not even them).

maybe it's because i'm not a romantic, maybe i'm a bit cold...*shrugs* maybe it's also because, while i BELIEVE in love, i do NOT want it nor all it entails.

I love my music collection. I love my car. I love movies, especially old ones.

However, I would never entertain the notion of dating or marrying any of them.
