Topic: did anyone tell you "hey i saw you on mingle" | |

Anywhere on the street or a store ..did anyone ever come up to you and say...I recognize you from a site?
No...thank goodness. That would be embarrassing.

No, but after seven concussions, I get a lot of people coming up to me and saying hi and then they say, you don't remember me do you? Apparently, I have a lot of friends I didn't know about.

that had that happen to them was Hellkitten, but i never see her post anymore |

I've never had that happen, but it may be because there are no Mingle forum people within several light years of me.

Haha..
actually..i am kind of worry if that happen to me. OMG...it will be very embarrassing. |

Yes - one of my co-workers
A little akward, to say the least..... |

It's never happened to me either...but I do have a question: Why are so many embarrassed to be on a site?

No, it hasn't happened to me. It isn't likely to, either, in this small town. I was on a site one time and saw one of my neighbors/coworkers, though. I didn't mention it to him. I thought that it was his own business, and if he didn't want to share, I wasn't going to bring it up. If I see someone on another site, though, then I may e-mail them and say "Didn't I see you on the other site?" But not face-to-face, and not to bring town gossip to a site or vice-versa.

Thankfully, no that has not happened to me. That might be a bit awkward if it happened too. lol
not yet, but i would not be worried if they did. i would just smile and say
"yes i am on mingle, i love this site, the people i have met on here are some of the most interesting i have ever met, and i now have friends all over the country and even some in canada, ireland and scotland" this site really rocks!!! |
Yes I have had this happen and I said, "Dang I'm gonna go home and delete my account!" LOL
It was only awkward for me because they learned more about my personal life than I had ever shared with them. And, to be sitting there in a meeting and have them say, "I saw you on Mingle and loved your profile, I didn't know all of that about you" in front of everyone.
I explained to them that it was a wonderful site and I had alot of friends on here. Then the meeting was over and she didn't say anything else about it. |

I don't think it should be embarrassing at all. Come on..now..I wrote to a few newspapers before..just as an opinion thing and others recognized me, and it kinda makes you feel weird a bit "spot light fever" - but there is nothing embarrassing just because you're single and searching for someone.

It's never happened to me either...but I do have a question: Why are so many embarrassed to be on a site? I don't live a double life I am as real on here as I am in person so it diffently wouldn't make any difference to me if I came across someone face to face that seen me on here |
That has not happened to me yet.
But I will add this. 3 of the kewlest people I have ever met, I met in Akron, Ohio last summer from this site. |
