Does true love have the power to make people want to change for the better? Yes... I do believe that when you truely love someone you want to be the best you can be not only for yourself, but for that person also. I have seen some pretty rough characters turn over some new leaves all in the name of love.

I do believe that when you truely love someone you want to be the best you can be not only for yourself, but for that person also. I have seen some pretty rough characters turn over some new leaves all in the name of love. I have seen that too. A person must want to change in order to truly change and for some people love can be an incredibly inspiring force

To change for the better implies there is something 'wrong' within the relationship, and one should never compromise. What is true love. Also, I don't like the notion of trying to change people. That will backfire every time. People will change if THEY want to. If they change because YOU want them to, that's called co-dependency and you DON'T want that.
