motherfncker is duplication. it is merely a derivative of fnck. it's just duplication. |

Not really an issue with me. I use enough profanity in my non-online time. This gives me a chance to tone it down a little.

Why does it matter? Are you just looking for something to complain about? Nothing is ever perfect and certainly you can't ever please everyone, the world isn't like that. And don't say, "Oh I was not complaining." If you had no problem with it, the topic would have never been brought up. I suppose that depends on your understanding of color. I personally find the fact that colors are "produced" by the brain as a way to distinguish different frequencies of electromagnetic radiation (light) that are either absorbed or reflected from an object, quite thought provoking. And wonder if a dog, bird, cat "sees" it the same. (But I'm a geek...so) That, to me, is much more interesting than if you can say pu$$y on here or not. Quite a juvenile "complaint" actually. |

This is crazy. I don't care what the moderators do to those of you who just don't think it's a big deal to hurt people's feelings. I had enough of that in junior high school.
If you would put as much energy into trying to enjoy the crowd that mingle has to offer, as you are in trying to prove a moot point just because you can, you might make more friends than meet people who you're p1$$1ng off. |

There are reasons for not allowing such words on this site.
For one, not everyone is as open to profanity, and we may chase off members with such speak. We are not in the business of offending others. Also, the majority of our users are parents, I would think...and they would like to be able to go on the site with their kids present. It's one thing if you go into the "Sex and Dating" forum, because you expect dirty talk, but we need to keep the rest of the site family-friendly. A clear set of rules makes it easier for the Administration to keep this a happy and user-friendly site. There are plenty of places out there where one can be as crass as they choose. |

There are plenty of places out there where one can be as crass as they choose. oh i realize that there are reasons. i just think it is kind of silly. and, it is fun to poke fun at it...like Carlin did in his (in)famous Seven Words routine back in the 70's like almost 40 years ago. i don't think there is any danger of it "getting outta control" so, i will try to keep it clean for a while...after all, it is good to practice profanity-free adult communication. i've said before that one of the most interesting aspects to a text based site like this is that it promotes an atmosphere of communication the likes of which had not been seen for quite a while before the WWW. |
