Honesty..... too many people on sites like these try to bs and you can see through the lies in the first 5 minutes of meeting someone.

My profile says what I am looking for, oh...and you could add your financials..

I look for a profile that has at least a little detail in it. Someone that took the time to at least give some of their personality away, even if it's just a glimpse :) It's impossible to put everything out there, I know, but I hate wasting my time and theirs if I'm not their "type" or if we're looking for different things.

One thing guaranteed to catch my interest is a sense of humor throughout the profile...I'm a sucker for it, lol. If someone can laugh at themselves and not take themselves too seriously, it's a given that I'm going to stop and read more carefully, and probably message that person.

I don't necessarily look for specific things, but if I'm going to contact someone, their profile needs to have something there. They need to tell me some things about themself that will make me want to get to know them.

Personally, Im looking for people that are actually adventurous enough to wanta meet in person for a cup of coffee or share a friendly meal together with no expectations other than being sociable.

It helps to look for someone who lives close to me, within 100 miles, but that's not neccessary. Mostly, I want honesty. I think I'm looking for someone to date (logically), but lately I've started feeling like an intimate encounter would be fun, too. In any case, someone who won't take an "ownership" attitude toward me and the relationship is highly important.
