Anybody from the Chambers County area?? I'm lookin at movin there in the near future and would love to hear what it has to offer in the way of jobs, school system and housin.

The Chambers of Commerce are always gonna dress up the good points of their area and down play the bad. Real people are gonna be more honest about an area. My utmost concern is the school system. I want to move my boys to an area where they have a top notch school system. |

If I may make a suggestion.. Change your personal info to coincide with that area. In other words, put a zipcode in for a town there, and see if any of the guys that show up are regular posters. If so, shoot them an email, and ask them directly.

Scuse me? I lived in Texas for 4 years back in the 80's, and know the state better than I know my own home state. I can tell you which road to get on if'n ya wanna go from Texarkana to Jasper, Eagle Pass to Waco, Brownsville to Hondo, Zephyr to Fred.
I loved the state so much, I got a tatt of Longhorns, and the Lone Star on my arm. So there.. Pfffffffffffftt.

I know that it's down on the coast, and it's fricken HOT.. That's about it. You need to realize that any knowledge I have about the local economy is based upon what I knew when Reagan was still President, as I left Texas back in 86, when the army sent me to Louisiana.

i'm originally from Chambers county. all i can say is that i don't think much of it. i moved away in 97, came back in 07 and nothing has changed.
