Topic: Seven deadly sins. Why are they Deadly?

The big difference between our wrath and God's wrath, is that God is
perfect. So, he doesn't make mistakes, which is why gets to cast
judgment. Basically, if you can create the universe from nothing, then
you get to make the rules. His universe, his rules.

And as for why they are deadly, it is because of both spiritual and
physical destruction. They separate us from humanity, they separate us
from God (this is a problem since he created everything), and they
separate us from ourselves.

How can god be perfect. Even I know that if you place something close
to a human and state... Thou shalt not... Said human will, at first
opportunity sample whatever is forbidden.

AB, that just isn't true. That is not fair to lump a whole in a catagory
like that.
I have had things placed for opportunity, that was wrong. I did not act
on them. To say that as humans we will do it if given opportunity,
hidden or otherwise is to catagorize us all as one, in behavior.
Please tell me if I am wrong with my understanding.

Individually you are right.

Collectivly if you have enough people or are dealing with a childlike
(innocent) personallity they will check it out.

The best way to get a child to check out something is to tell them it is
forbidden or there 'not old enough for it yet'.

I think the saddest thing that humans ever did was to associate their
morals with god. That was their fatal mistake.

They are deadly because they go against the love that we should share
with our brothers and sisters.

So you say Abra. It may be sad to you, but it is (was) a blessing to me.
There are many people that are glad that I found my strength in God.
Especially myself.
Before I had any belief system in place I was not as nice a person as I
am now. I was hell on wheels. I had nothing to lose by having nothing to
be accountable to. Not saying that I was totally bad all the time. But,
the difference in me now, and me then...is like day and night.
Associating God with not only morals, but everything in my life, Has
made me a better person and woman.
So, you may think it is bad or silly. But, it is my salvation from
myself and a lesson well received.

LW I might agree with you but from a diferent direction.

By practicing those 'sins' a person removes themselves partially from
the human race. Creating for themselves a more lonely existance than
should be.

Worse though is they distance themselves from god (he is not distant
they just can not feel his prescense). That would be the only true form
of eternal damanation for me. I need my closeness to god therefore I
practice not those things that place a veil between him and I.

Prov 6:16-19

16 These six things doth Yahweh hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto
him:

17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in
running to mischief,

19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among
brethren.
KJV
yet he gives us Hope as Ephesians says that the commandment to honour
our father and mother was the 1st commandment with promice..

Eph 6:1-3

Children, obey your parents in Yahweh, for this is right. 2 "Honor your
father and mother," which is the first commandment with promise : 3
"that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth."
NKJV

Prov 6:20-23
My son, keep thy father's commandment, and forsake not the law of thy
mother:

21 Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck.

22 When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall
keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.

23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of
instruction are the way of life:
