Topic: Shoplifting brings life sentence | |

This makes no sense to me. You can only be giving time based on the particular crime for which you are in front of the judge. She can get her probation revoked and have to do the time on that. But you can't add time outside of the maximum sentence based drug usage if you are not in front of the judge for using drugs. You can't have time added to your sentence in excess of the max for your past record. It can result in receiving the max instead of the minimum. But that is it. Unless it is something that falls under the three strikes law.
This just sounds fishy to me. I wouldn't be shocked to hear that another judge overturn this in the appeal. |

She can get clean and stay clean in prison. Are you kidding!!?? I hope you are right willing. There are more and stronger drugs in prison. You should see the inovative ways they come up with to make a syringe. Hooch is killer. It could kill you...but it does the job. Pot is all around. A bit dangerous to be in with that crowd...but do-able Kat |

Life in prison?! That's just wrong. Sex offenders get less then that.
She needs extensive, long-term rehab. |

An uproar is being heard from this. She will be trying to get a reduced sentence in one year...no wait...that is an appeal.
