Topic: what makes a person special and important? | |

Is there a universal standard, a default formula, a certain behavior accepted by most people a such or can be anybody special and important in a certain way and it depends on the partner's idea, of what is special and what is important?

I think what makes a person special is them being exactly who they are. Now if you are referring to making them 'special' enough to date, well, that is a different question.

I think it's all totally subjective -- the stuff that generally seems to make one important in this culture, such as money, power, social position, etc., doesn't mean a thing to me.
But everybody is going to have their own standards, their own priorities. Mine don't match up well with the "norm," but I've run into a lot of other "dissenters" as well. You may get a majority opinion about what makes someone important. I doubt you'll ever get a universal. |

A person is special when they can fart two different tunes while walking towards the kitchen to get another can of beer.

A person is special when they can fart two different tunes while walking towards the kitchen to get another can of beer. And, I suppose YOU ARE THAT SPECIAL!!! I'm in love!!! |

I think honor, respect, and consideration are universal. However, about what is a constant variable from person to person.
