Try right clicking on My Computer, click on manage, select disk defragmenter on the left and work away.

See, the thing is, I don't even know how to find manage. Let alone defrag.

If you havent done a defrag in a while ( or ever ) you might as well make a cup of tea and bake a cake because its going to be a while.

Go to THIS link-

http://www.auslogics.com/disk-defrag

And download a freebie program called "Auslogics Disk Defrag". It's a defrag program that works pretty well. Don't mind the nags about "upgrading" to the for-purchase utility suite they also sell, as that's not mandatory.

While you're at it, go to THIS link-

http://www.auslogics.com/registry-defrag/index.php

And download another freebie program of theirs called "Auslogics Registry Defrag", which will... uh... defrag your registry. It might help you pick up some speed and stuff.

Shoes....you might wanna do that tonight while you're sleeping. Programs should be turned off and then let it do it's thing.

Diskeeper is the best. I wouldn't recommend the built in defragger, it sucks.

How long is a piece of string?! The time it takes depends on many variables, the more you use it while it's working, the longer it will take though.

Diskeeper will work in the background and allow you to get on with things while it does it's thing.

Thank's for all of your help everybody. I appreciate it. I went to bed and let it alone for the night. It work's alot better... I think! lol. I'll have to use it more to know for sure. One other thing, why is the wifi at the library faster than my old ISP? (None where I'm living now).
