Shakin’ my head back-n-forth
Lookin’ at your adorable sheepish grin. “I don’t know why I’m so attracted to songs by him?“ Analytically, Logically, Emotionally, Or just plain --- well duhhhh, obviously? C’mon Hondo, “Cowboy Up” Follow that “Gravitational Pull” N’ dig a lil deeper “Under This Old Hat”. Ain’t gonna take a lot a “Horsepower” To answer that. WD40 them ol’ “Rusty Spurs” When you’re not mem’brin’ bein’ “Hooked on an 8 Second Ride” Or lost in those “Gold Buckle Dreams”. Chris The Sweet The French folks would call ‘im. Sweet words to your ears; Understanding commiseration Of facing life’s fears. Throw in the ability to laugh At himself with a rhythmic grin And a Country Twang………. Nope, no clue why - Can’t tell ya a th'ANG! |

WOOHOO!!!! Love this Lady and know Lurh is rockin with Chris in the great blue!!!! Lurch turned me onto Mr LeDoux and it was something we could share and get crazy with. Love all of his work but "Hooked on an 8 Second Ride" and "This Cowboy's Hat" are my favs and Lurch's too... Oh the memories! |

Thanks, y'all. Marc just told me LeDoux wrote and recorded 281 songs on his own and this does not include the many times he contributed to other's works or recordings.
If anybody is interested in adding to this style write with more of his song titles, please feel free. I think that would make a pretty cool thread. Doesn't matter how you write it as long as LeDoux song titles are included in quotes. |

i think that chris ledoux recorded cadillac ranch which became a cw dance...like boot scootin boogy.
i think he had a liver transplant or was waiting for it, and died before he could get it or something like that... correct me if i am wrong. he has been dead about 5 years? |

Yes, Duffy, he had the transplant in 2000 and died in March of 2005 from complications of liver cancer.
Glad ya enjoyed, TxsLily. I knew many of his songs, but never really paid attention to who wrote it or was singing until moving here. Marc's been a fan for years so hearing LeDoux at least once a day is pretty common for me now. It was fun to find the combination of Lakota and LeDoux in a song he sang about Custer's last stand from an Indian viewpoint, "Hoka Hey, Lakotas". |
