The age thing is such a big part of the dating realm some people can make it work and some can't.
Knowing what I have experienced through out my time here on our earth. I have found that the people that age plays no part when picking a mate have an intelligence above the rest of us. And then there are those whom have barriers with in there minds. We have to wonder when and where these barriers were acquired in ones life. Let me give an analogize. If you put a grass hopper in a jar and put the lid on the jar. This grass hopper will attempt to escape by jumping. As we know that the grass hopper will keep hitting the lid over and over. After time the grass hopper will only jump as high as the lid. You will also notices that the grass hopper will not hit the lid at all.
The programing of the mind of the grass hopper has been completed.
When we take off the lid the grass hoppers mind has been programed to go as high as the lid was.
So this is how our minds have been programed also. We have been told that this is not right so many time that our minds can't tell the deference.

Also reproducing plays a big part in this age and matting thing also. We as beings of this earth have the need to reproduce. It is only logical for us to want to mate with the young and the strong. This is what is happing and has been happen ever since time begain in order for us as being to survive. Even though we do not want to have kids our beings want to mix our genes with a young and strong mate. Women and men feel this. That is why older men want younger women and older women also want the younger men. I have to say that I notice that my taste for a younger woman is stronger then a woman closer to my age. I hope that this helps someone understand others. Also understand what they feel inside of there self when it comes to love !!!

I strongly disagree with this statement: "We as beings of this earth have the need to reproduce." That is rather archaic.

I had trouble following much of what you were trying to say, but I think you are asking why older men and women seek out younger partners.

I don't date guys my age because I 'generally' am not attracted to them; we don't have the same goals because I do not want to breed ; and commonalities in pop culture and fashion are 'generally' missing.

I am open to a man my age sweeping me off my feet; however, it's not as though I have no experience or I don't know what curl my toes -- and makes me happy. I stick with what I know and lust for in life!

I'd rather be alone than be with someone I've 'settled for'.

So what is the meaning of attraction ? Do you think that we are attracted to one another because we choose to be ? Or is this attraction with us from birth ?

I've never dissected WHY I am attracted to a certain type. I just am and I tend to seek out the kind of guys that turn my head.

Initially, the physical appearance will grab my attention. After I get to know the person, personality and intelligence will seal the deal or become a deal breaker. A balance of character, soul, and good looks is the only thing I accept.

In terms of the physical characteristics I prefer, I honestly can't tell you why a specific 'look' is what I go for in a guy. I've always loved blondes with blue or green eyes, tattoos, and a tall, lean, athletic body.

I find many guys attractive! There are beautiful people everywhere! I love eye candy! I've just never wanted to date anyone not typical of my type.

I found that to be true in my life. Although i had met a woman that is way opposite of what I thought I liked and low and be hold I enjoy being with her cool don't you think ??

Oh, I totally agree! That is why I am open to anyone who may capture my heart. I'd be a fool not to go through life with eyes wide open!
