I got run over by a car...but it only knocked me out for a few days.
No other damage apparently, except the car and driver. The old lady across the street used to give us a penny to look both ways. After that, she upped it to a nickel. No kidding! |

Hmmm...worst childhood PHYSICAL injury?
That would be at age 14...fell down some stairs at school & broke my lower spine...was then diagnosed with a chronic degenerative bone disorder...*shrug* |

The old short coffee cans that you used to have to open with a key like a can of sardines?????? Once open you could take the ring off the can and underneath it was razor sharp??????
Stepped on one at a full run in a friends back yard. Cut my foot just in the forward part of the arch, to the bone. Wrapped sock around it and had to limp home 10 blocks. 40 stitches I think. I was 8 or 10..... |

WOW!! I guess I must have been very lucky as a child...never broke a bone or had a stitch. BUT once I hit 37, thats when my problems began. So I guess I was lucky when I was little but it caught up with me when I was older

I'm a huge chickensh*t...I guess that's why I've never had any injuries when I was growing up. Despite the fact that I was the only girl in the neighborhood.

When I was about seven my mother plugged in a blender that I was putting the beaters into at the time. The switch was on and it pulled my fingers in and kept going until I pulled the cord out of the wall.
Broke and cut all my fingers on my left hand. The worst one I ever saw happen to a young man happened to a friend of my daughters. He was doing chin-ups on a beam in the basement while watching some other kids play pool. He slipped and fell onto the tip of a pool stick. It went thru his scrotum and punctured the area behind it. Poor kid..it was a life threatening injury and he spent a substantial amount of time in the hospital. |

stepped onto an old tupperware platic cup that had been mowed over and it went through my entire left foot. Tore all of the tendons and had several stitches. Had my hand shut in a locked car door and nobody could find the keys. Dog chewed my leg and got its tooth caught in my ankle bone. Just some of the good times!

My cousin hit me in the head with a golf club. I was so little I just remember my dad holding me in the hospital asking if there was someone who could help.
