Topic: breast cancer a good reason to be a mommy ealier? | |
---|---|
Well, I do plan on becoming a mom at some point in my 20s, I was
thinking late 20s, after 25 after a year or 2 of marriage. BUT ever since I read an article linking reduced breast cancer risk to having kids before 25, so now I am starting to rethink my plans and start the family a year early, like get married at 22, and have the 2 kids by 25, but that seems TOO early. *sigh% So what do you think parents? I know I should ask my own, but they aren't exactly on the same page as me when it comes to family. My dad is anti-marriage, and my mom, well, just doesn't want to talk to me. So got any advice? I'd appreciate it!!! |

You will marry when you find the right one, and have your
children when the two of you are ready. Hun don't let cancer scare you into something before you are ready. The statistics vary with everyone... |

many things can reduce breast cancer risk.not a good reason to have kids
.single parenthood is no walk in the park. It also sounds like you would have no support system.just a thought. |

why single parenthood isnt easy. My mom and dad. |

I have had a spot removed and have one more that needs to be. It was
turning into cancer but had not fully evolved. I am not afraid of it and neither should you be especially stats. I truly believe my time will come when it comes nothing will make it come any sooner than it's life's design. |

oh and for the record it was turning into melanoma.

hmmmmmmmmm..
I think that study is centered around breast feeding and the reduction in breast cancer. dunno for sure though. |
|
|
|
For every year/12 months of breast feeding the risk of breast cancer
drops by 25%. Imagine having 4 kids, eh? This info came from the mayo clinic, and was applicable to any age. There are many many more bennifets to breast feeding and of course there are alot of pro's to having children earlier with regards to physical health. Financally, mentally, and emotionally it could be more advatages to have children later in life. For the most part pregnancy/child birth is relatively low risk (not speaking for myself ) until age 35. |
