drink alcohol on the first date?

i just got back from my first date in 8 yrs and while we had a very good time for the first couple hours, he drank crown w/seven and i did have a couple of drinks but i was driving and did not want to drink more than 2. but after the 4th hour was getting a little loud and arrogant and was almost mean with is tone and his comments to me were belittling.
we left it with him saying he would like to learn to play disc golf with me tomorrow but i told him i was playing wth my daughter and i did not think it would be a good idea. now i do not play golf with my daughter she is to young but i just wasn't sure if i could listen to someone talk down to me again.

I wouldnt recommend drnking on the first date

First date, second, etc. doesn't matter if you can hold your liquor and are a nice drinker. He sounds like a mean drinker and I wouldn't go out with him again...

If you aren't downing the hooch like it was water, you shouldn't have any trouble at all. If anything, a little bit of alcohol on the first date can actually help eliminate the first-date jitters that usually take place during the first-date.

Get it going. I want to see the real person, quickly, rather than be sucked in by careful pretensions and then blind-sided later.

Actually, this might be a blessing in disguise. You got to see firsthand how alcohol affects this man.
