This could go here or under my biggest Mingle gripe as well maybe I will just cut and paste it. Even when someone bothers to start a serious or non banal thread no one answers seriously and it turns into a joke free for all so why bother with anything but fluff to begin with? 
i think people wanna laugh so bad, whether it's serious or not, because it's getting worse with our way of life, power and phone being turned off anytime and loosing their jobs, they are just escaping almost spitefully, not meaning to hurt, but just frustrated, and add to that.....they're searching to be happy and not finding, and that make it even worse. just an observation from the sidelines I agree with you, we all want and need to laugh. But I guess my point was that I have seen many that had serious questions or truly wanted to know others feelings about issues and the whole topic gets blown away by jokes. Don't we have enough humorous threads on here that people can be respectful of people actually asking for opinions/feelings? |

I agree with you, we all want and need to laugh. But I guess my point was that I have seen many that had serious questions or truly wanted to know others feelings about issues and the whole topic gets blown away by jokes. Don't we have enough humorous threads on here that people can be respectful of people actually asking for opinions/feelings?
Humor can be pointed and on topic. There's a lot I can say here, but will not. Most of the so called "serious questions" get ugly in a hurry. Or there might be a pedantic knucklehead that needs to be taken down a notch. Humor is better than endless circular debate to get a point across. |

Don't we have enough humorous threads on here that people can be respectful of people actually asking for opinions/feelings? i totally agree with you 100% there will however always be the three stooges, richard dreyfusses, click and clacks, and laural and hardys out there waiting for that "key word" to set em off. and i'm possibly guilty of one or two myself, but i try to observe "feeling law" before posting.

I don't mind the repetitiveness of the threads so much. I think we're in dire need of a few fakes to beat up and laugh at. They are still always the best entertainment on these sites. 
where's that penis guy? he hasn't been here for awhile. maybe they should just let him roll with it next time!!!! it was the talk of the threads for a week!!!! then there was BUTTWORMS!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to like the similar threads they had on the other site, because people always posted links and it helped discover new songs you wouldnt normally have come across. But when i last looked here, very few people would actually give a link, and that makes it pointless for me, as i really do not care what people are listening to. |

And how important is it, really, to know whether each and every one of us would spray Lemon Pledge on the person above you? duh, lex! so we can know who the heck to avoid... cause if you're coming at me with lemon pledge, there's something kind of...um...missing in your head. ------------------- some people use this site as an escape, so the light-hearted threads that encourage brain shut-off are really what they need at that stage in their lives. i don't have to participate in them, and neither does anyone else. as to the music...maybe it's a way to non-intrusively find out a bit about another's tastes. |
