Dusk Till Dawn
Narrative. Have you wondered what it would be like to escape the routines of life? Have you ever explored your imagination? Have you ever walked the bridge, which lays between reality and dreamscape in your sleep? Do you ever close your eyes and open up new horizons or create new civilizations to rule or to destroy. Are you really who you what to be? Or not what you want to be? Perhaps one day you’ll find out? (Sweet sleep) High above the mountain range My senses reeling I feel strange The clouds are floating under me Around me only xtc The sun spreads colors cross the sky I see my kingdom with naked eye And I don’t want to wake up To break this magic dream The real world I’m a nobody But here I am redeemed In this world I am special And I live for eternity (A knight’s dream) A king I am again tonight And wish a dragon to fight Just lead me to its lair So I can rescue maiden fair Standing in my amour fit for a knight so bold As I claim scaly victim and reap my pot of gold So many pots of gold that I have found I can now have 12 chairs And a large table that is round And now I command my knights And bestow them regal rights We seek adventure and tread paths - for us that are unknown Wait while I collect my sword - my birthright in the stone The lady in the lake a waits - to wave us all good by My wife is sitting in the tower - to avoid the farewell cry Now we have to mount our steeds - and take the hidden trail To help the minstrels write their songs - about the Holy Grail And if we never find it - we will not be held to blame Legends just forgets the faults - and just retains the fame Our lives a heroes dream Legends told of what we have seen Take it or leave it Believe in what you want to believe Were not the writers? So we never tried to deceive (The Lament) My Guinevere My flower and my bride How love can easily change Like the tide And by the table now Lancelot’s empty chair He once gave friendship You gave him an affair. O how I long to feel your magic touch For all my endeavors I feel I deserve that much But all that I see now is a boat that is sailing away And the prophecies of Merlin are now coming into play Coming into play Coming into play 12 great battles we have to fight It is written in the stars - in the stars at night For every victory that we hold Will be another story told The Saxon will hit the cul-de-sac For them there is no turning back And Merlin though he ran away Will eventually return to us one day I think we’ll travel north now - try finding a crusade And if it does not work out - I think I’ll just get laid My destiny is set out - and my bullets in the gun And I will follow the path of legends - and have a love child son And soon the caves await me - await me as we move on Turn left at the mountains - then a right for Avalon. You can even take me - take me to my place of rest Then I’ll have to leave you and let history do the rest. (The Awakening) Now my slumber begins to end And there are no more kingdoms to defend My eyes now open to the morning sound Bed a throne and pillow a crown. Tomorrow night I’ll be something else From a Hobbit to Odin’s eye (A bad day at the Office) Yes I know it beats an office Holding papers and a pen Making profits for the bosses When theirs kingdoms to defend Outside people catching busses All held captive by the beast After 8 hours there given freedom And celebrate with a TV feast All just trapped inside a big clock A clock that ticks but has no time History books will never record them But in my world the magic is mine Here I am your master and your king And here I now sit, sit upon my throne Here I am your master and your king And the real world leaves me alone. |

Just out of curiosity, since you do post so many pieces at one time, have you considered just doing one thread with all your poems on it? That way you dont push all the other new poems off the first page and then anybody else who posts something new gets a chance to have theirs looked at. Just a suggestion....
