I just used Nair on my legs. I have used it before but never with any
results. But I decided to give it a second chance. And to my surprise it
worked! But now my legs are sorta stinging and itchy. Is that normal? I
mean I am glad that the hair is gone, and that my legs are smooth, but
the sting and itch NEEDS to stop! Any suggestions?

I don't use that. I just go the old fashion way, shave it of wax it.

whisp...maybe you got allergies to it...no doubt, they've probably
changed some of the ingredients over the years..

Yea they did warn me to try it on a small part of hair first. But my
skin has never had any problems with any type of products, so I never
bother doing the patch test.

hmm... i don't think they should be burning but you can try putting
some cool water on them, and then as long as you aren't having like
hives, or like swollenness i wouldn't worry about it, i just wouldn't
use that stuff again, but if you have any other symptoms of an allergic
reaction you might wanna call your physician and ask them if its
something you should go to emergency room for

Thank you sorority girl, I did put some cool water and some body butter
on them and it seems to be calming down now.

I have very sensitive skin so I get stingy and itchy when I use it, too.
Wash it off very thoroughly with warm water and mild soap (in the
bathtub) and either leave it alone or put some mild lotion on it that
doesn't have any perfumes and extra crud in it.

I used it on my chest once and had the itchy feeling your talking about.
I'm allergic to one of the ingredients in it, which I didn't know and it
was the worst week of my life. lol

try a different brand or try less time... I had the same trouble when I
tried it ... sensitive skin. A soothing lotion like Aveno helps.

Whisper, I have the same reaction from it also and don't use it any
longer. If it burns and itches they say not to use it. The chemicals in
the Nair can actually burn your skin!

yeah, this chemical actually DISOLVES the hair...so it's natural that
your skin wouldn't like it.

a good lotion for sensitive skin, eucerin is great.

it says on the package not to "rub it in" you prolly inadvertantly did
so, and that's why your skin is irritated.

once you wash it all off, moisturize your skin again, and you should be
done with the irritation.
