Twosteper, that makes me smile!
I remember waking up Easter morning -- I was about 6, my aunt and her two sons had come on the train to visit, and the boys were sleeping on the couch when I went downstairs that morning. Well, I climbed up on the couch and was talking with them, when my younger brother got up, saw the baskets and bowl of Easter eggs sitting on the dining room table, and he started throwing them at us. My mom had dyed 4 doz. eggs, and when my brother was done there weren't any whole eggs left. My mom said she was still finding easter egg shells about six mos. later in the living room. This story is a family favorite at gatherings, and my aunt always adds a line about my mother preaching the easter sunrise services that morning and my brother doing the singing. |

One of my fondest childhood memories that has stuck with me for over 40
years happened on September 15, 1965. The date the first episode of "Lost in Space" aired on CBS. I was almost 4 years old, but I remember it so very vividly! That's when a love affair began. Everytime I watch that first episode on DVD, I can remember what that day was like all those years ago down to the very smell of the air. Wow! I remember the debut of "Star Trek" the following year, as well! |
