Did ya'll hear about the meteor (about the size of a pick-up truck) that fell to earth near us in Dallas? Made me stop & think how lucky we were not to have sustained any injuries or fatalities... OK...so I'm an astronomical dork...  ...but my Dad was a tech engineer for NASA & Martin Marrietta...so at least I come by it honestly...
Who here watches the sky also? That happened in 1978 when I first moved to Mesa, AZ. We were just leaving the house when the sky lite up green and this ball of fire with a tail streaked across the sky. It landed between Phoenix and Tucson.. It was a beautiful sight!! |
