I just saw it the other night, and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Of course I wasnt expecting much...so that always helps. The girl I was with jumped quite a few times, and there were some laugh out loud moments. It also had one of the best opening scenes I've seen in a horror flick, since the Dawn Of The Dead remake. Good campy fun.

I watched this yesterday, and I also really liked it. I've always been a fan of the series, so I was expecting a lot from this remake, and it didn't disappoint me! There were a couple of scenes that really bugged me, but I'll leave those out so that I don't spoil anything for people who haven't watched it yet. Overall, I really enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to another long line of Friday the 13th movies.

I enjoyed the movie and the death scenes were original in comparison to the other Jason movies. However the only thing I didnt care for was the fact that he actually ran to catch his victims.

the death scenes werent original in comparison, they were more predictable...especially the girl under the dock in the lake.

The death scenes were pretty predictable, some of them even taken from the other Friday films. But, the whole point of a "remake" is not originality.slaphead

Eh, it was okay. Wasn't a waste of a ticket but I wouldn't go see it again.

I didn't really like how they just crammed the first three movies into an hour and a half. Probably because the first one was my favourite. It was only shown for a minute!

Also, they made Jason retarded but he could still throw with expert marksmanship and set complex traps. What the hell? He seemed perfectly normal, why did they have to add in that he was retarded?

On another note, was he retarded in the original films? I haven't seen them in awhile but I don't remember that part.
