Okay all you single people fess up. How many of you do or have practiced the three second rule? That is if something hits the kitchen floor and the dog don't get it, if it's there for less than three seconds it's still good to eat????

Scientific studies have shown it can actually be expanded to the thirty second rule. Nastiness starts to form around then even on things like half eaten apples. That said, if it lands on the floor I'm not eating it.

I don't care if it falls on the floor. Pick it up and dust it off and then pop it in my mouth. YUMMY

If it is something that can be washed off and I really need it for the dinner I am making or whatever then yes. But for things that cannot be washed, no, the dog gets a special treat. LOL she waits for those while I am cooking too...lol

I agree, it depends what it is and how dirty the floor is at the moment. Most things can be washed or dusted, but others can't be.

That being said, for me it's a 10 second rule, generally speaking.
