While driving, yes or no?
It seems to me that every time I see some knobshine weaving back and forth, speeding up and slowing down, turning left from the right lane or right from the left, braking for no apparent reason, stopping at a green light or blowing through a red, pulling out two feet in front of oncoming traffic, guess what? They're yaking on a phone.
Have we become a nation of such insecure people that we don't feel like we are worth anything unless we are gabbing on the phone with somebody?

I never use the cell when driving -- if I need to I'll pull over or I wait to get to where I'm going and call the person back.

I always use my bluetooth if I'm on the phone... While I'm driving home from work I try to catch up with family and friends that I don't get to talk to from home b/c it's just too busy once I get home... Then again I like my solitude to crank my music up so a lot of time I don't talk on the phone while I'm driving...

I don't like to answer the phone while driving but have had to on a few occasions, I does make me nervous that I am not paying attention. I only answer if it is important. I agree that just chatting on the phone while driving should not really be happening. I got backended by someone chatting on the phone while driving. There was no damage but it probably would not have happened if they had not been on the phone. They were trying to do to much in rush hour traffic.slaphead

I talk on my phone all the time while I'm driving, never had a problem. But, I'm one of the few who realize that I'm not the only person on the road and that I'm not the most important person in the world

It is stupid, dangerous, and a large fine here if you are not using some sort of headset (which IMHO doesn't help with the distraction)

I does help if the person isn't a moron...

So how many morons know they are morons or are they really smart people that just act like morons?

Morons, by definition, do not know they are......

To "really smart people"...everyone else IS a Moron ...

seems a little rhetorical no?

It's simple.. If you drive and use your bluetooth and you're not doing anything stupid whilst driving then you're not a moron.. If they're using their bluetooth and driving like a moron then they're a moron and if they don't know they are then I'm sure someone will let them know. Now if they don't get it I can't help you there b/c a lot of morons don't realize they're morons.. Then again it's subjective isn't it..

Slightly... Even smart people are distracted. Driving and talking on cell phones are not a good mix. I'm on the road for many hours a day. Almost every person I observe on the phone are in their own world. It is dangerous. No one will EVER convince me otherwise.
