Women - lipstick or lip gloss? Men - which do you like on a woman? And guys who like to wear it, that's just weird and there is no category for you. None. I don't like the way it feels. |

im not into make up. i like minimal makeup on my girls. I know im nuts. That's my philosophy as well. For different reasons though. If I wear a full face everyday, it gets to be expected and whenever I go naked ( face wise) people will be like "what the hell happened to your face". Never a good thing. So I wear mascara and gloss and that is if you are lucky. I am so lo maintainence, it's ridiculous. I actually prefer it that way, though. I don't want someone who spends a lot of time putting on makeup. I figure, if you have to work that hard....give up....lol Some women like the solitude when applying make up. It's not that is takes so long to cover up or disguise themselves, but it's a quiet time to think and be artistic. Think about it from a larger scope. The ritual is not always for someone else -- it could be just for 'us' ![]() Melody Well. I suppose that's true. I was also told the other night that 99% of the time, a woman isn't dressing up to impress men. They are dressing up to show other women that she looks better than they do. lol Chapstick.....sometimes, lip-liner...and I don't agree with that statement....I've been doing it a long time...adds a little light to one's self..I do only for my own ego...makes me feel better... ![]() |

Only an insecure woman or a 14 year old boy would misspeak so archaically! ![]() Dressing up is so subjective. There is no right or wrong way to 'look better' than someone else. Melody ![]() |

I agree Melody... I dress and wear makeup b/c I want to, not to try to out do other women.. That's silly...

I wear both sometimes and sometimes just gloss. I have colored gloss too that is all in one.

lightly flavored lip gloss...
![]() Cotton Candy, Bubblegum, Cola flavored Lip Gloss- guys seem to like those! |
|
|

given those two choices, gloss...something light. kissing someone with heavy lipstick is very distracting.

I like a light lipstick for everyday, darker for going out. Don't like gloss.. My regime takes only a couple of minutes..lipstick,sometimes liner, mascara..

Well. I suppose that's true. I was also told the other night that 99% of the time, a woman isn't dressing up to impress men. They are dressing up to show other women that she looks better than they do. lol Okay before some take offense to what JustaGuy said with this statement above. I have in fact read this in and articular about women it was talking about the different reasons some women go to the extreme of getting ready and some of the things they do on a daily basis as if it were a ritual. There was one that actually made the comment and said that she in fact always made sure she out dressed the women she was going to be around. More or less her goal was not only to turn the heads of the men but make sure the other women in the room felt in adequate around her. So yes I have heard this same statement as well. Now do most women do it for that reason? Noooooooo I wear makeup due to it makes me feel good with myself. I do not wear makeup to impress anyone nor cover up any hideous scars. Does it take me and hour to put on my makeup nooooo it takes me less then 30 minutes to put my makeup on and curl and comb out my hair. Average about and hour with taking a shower and getting dressed. But... now I have been known to slip on my jeans comb my hair and go with out it at times depends on what I'm doing. But if in fact I'm going out to eat ect then yeah I'm gonna put it on just me. |

(((Kristi))) same here.. I adore Guy so don't take offense but it's not why I wear makeup but I'm sure he knows that.. . ![]() |

Lol girl I knew you were not taking offense to what he had said just thought I would back him up on what he said he heard I have in fact heard it put exactly like he worded it. And to be honest I would bet there are in fact women that actually do it for that reason, But.........normally those are the ones that think they are above the so called common folk. And they are some of the ones that would be more likely to be called Gold Diggers and out strictly for the attention and if they don't receive it they will in fact do something or wear something to attract all the attention they can. Ya know the ones that are so high up on that pedestal it makes them dizzy looking down on everyone else.

I really couldnt give a damn. Women have different skin tones and complexion and they can decide for themselves what makes them look good.
As long as she doesnt look like a slag! lol |

Lip gloss or lipstick?
Both, either, neither... It's all good! Would I wear them? Only on special Friday nights when I get freaky in Hollywood! |
