It depends on the color??? If it's blue,geen and yellow plaid wear a solid blue, green or yellow top. Easy as pie

I too agree with what color the plaid is, whatever is the l favorite color that you like in the plaid, then pick that for your top, also with plaid don't have the top too busy or it really confuses things for those of us looking at it,lmao, hope it works out for you autumm, and don't forget to wear sandals to shows off cute feet, freshly painted toes, with an anklet too
