yeah, i asked my dad for a good new turntable for a wedding present in 2000, still got it,not the wife though
 the first album i played was 'the song remains the same' all 4 sides

All the time. Granted, I love the quality of CD's and mp3's (and who wouldn't?), but there's something about the sound of actual vinyl that cannot be matched. All the surface noise, all the pops and crackles, just like God intended.
I put a lot of my vinyl on my harddrive, but I still have several years worth of work to do in order to put it all on there. My record collection is quite huge (and even that is an understatement). |

I have tons of vinyl, new and old, spin all the time too! I use my pc and mp3's etc. for my remixes nowadays though, cheaper and I don't run the risk of damaging a record I can't replace.

I have tons of Vinyl records, but do not play them. They are worth a mint and I am afraid of destroying them. But I do take them out and clean them on occasion to keep them nice.
