what was your best valentines day...and your worst

I hope I haven't had my best so far...but the worst was the first one with my ex...he bought all of the kids candy and bought his daughter in law this HUGE heart full of candy...and told me he didn't get me anything because Valentines Day was for kids

best: in college, this guy surprised me with a candle lit dinner and a dozen red roses

worst: a few years ago, i had some kind of stomach bug the day before. my husband told me if i wanted v-day dinner we had to do it that night cuz he was busy the next day with work. i suffered through it, taking most of it home for later, i found out he gave some bank teller red roses because he felt bad because her bf just broke up with her...
THAT makes valentine's day my least favorite holiday now.

Best will be tomorrow and worst would have to be last year.

best--- steak and lobster dinner at his house with candles and flowers........ worst-- spending it alone

Well, there was this one time when I went out with Bugs Moran...

Never had a date on a Valentines Day. However, I do have a worst Valentines story.


I was a junior in high school. Not a large school only 100 students in the entire school. Well, I'd been seeing a girl in my class, and we'd gone out a few times. Now, thinking I'd impress my new "girlfriend," I decided to send her half a dozen roses for Valentines. Nothing fancy or extraordinary by far, but for a 16 year old not doing bad.

Now, as usual for deliveries to the school, the girls got their flowers at lunch (hey, I wasn't the only person sending them). So, when the entire school pooled into the cafeteria for lunch, my "girlfriend" comes into the lunch area carrying my roses. She walks right up to me, sets the vase down in front of me, pulls the roses out, and throws them in my face.

She then precedes to yell, nay scream, at me how: she never really liked me, how she'd been seeing someone else, and so on and so forth. Hell, my heart sunk fast and of course it was right in front of the entire school. People started laughing at me and pointing.

I remember just sitting there for a while, flowers on my lunch plate, in my lap, and on the floor. Then amid comments laughs and a little bit of food tossed my direction, I just slowly walked out.

dude you win first place for worst.....Ive had a few bad ones but Im not in your league...You are a better man than me ..If I had experienced that episode there would have been some very serious fallout for those involved.

You know, it really sucked then, and I was hell on that girl for another year. However, we did become friends again after she graduated college, I was even invited to her wedding.

20+ years later, it's a hell of a story. If you can't look back on something like that and laugh a little, you'll end up having a stroke. Believe it or not, that's not even in the top 3 break up stories.

The worst for me was when an ex-girlfriend took my V-Day gift (flowers and candy) and threw them in the trash. She tried to be sneaky about it too but didn't realize I had seen her do it. THEN she copped some bull-honkey "I'm... like... SO the victim here!" schtick that was about as phony as the tears on an alligator.

My last relationship ended on Jan 13, 2004 and the valentines after that was pretty hard to take. Other than that they have all been okay. I guess the best would have been going to an adult hotel with champayne, strawberries and cream and roses waiting for me in the room. Oh and he was there too...lol

I could see that being fun ...I looked at your profile and the picture of you and the big dog is great...The look in his or her eyes is pure unconditional love..
