MY GIFT

I felt something in me
A feeling long gone deep within my soul
Not knowing if I was capable of its retrieval
Awakened in me I feel its presence

Still... Timid & Weak
Your gentleness is ever needed
If you so choose....I will relinquish my hold
upon such a feeling to allow for the transformation

To... Bold & Reverent
Held in your gaze longer each time
Once ashamed for my own reasons
Now, I am admitting to it

As strong as a river in the rush of Spring thaw...
This feeling that is within me...I wish to give to you
