If you look closely at any pics of Billy F. Gibbons (the guitar player in ZZ TOP), you'll notice that he wears a kind of green-colored beenie-looking thing with little thingies hanging off of it on his head. It's supposed to be some African hat of some sort that has fallen into favor with him for the last couple of years.
