love is wonderful

The trouble with love is everyone's definition is slightly different, so you have to search and find the one who truly shares your definition.

Everybody thinks their definition of love is the same, and everyone should live within their own parameters of their own definitions. Not true!! Everyone needs to communicate their definitions to find the deviations in order to understand where their differences lie. This allows for understanding difficult developments and creates the ability to overcome the differences within.

trouble is when one person is more devoted than the other

problem with love is someone will say i love you to someone and the other isn't ready to return the favor yet

I'd say it anyways if I felt like it but I wouldn't want to make the other person feel like they had to say it back

yeah i guess puttin out there is better than holding back

I totally agree if it scares the person off better sooner than later

Them not saying it back is not as bad as them using your feelings to take advantage of you.

A ha! Grasshopper you and I think alike. I was having this conversation over the phone the other day with a male friend and I made nearly an identical comment. "Love" is extremely subjective. You could take 12 people from this very forum and ask them to give you their personal definition of love and I guarantee you would hear 12 very different responses. There might be a consensus on certain terms such as "joy" or "gratitude", but even then, the interaction between these emotions and their actual manifestation will NOT line up.

It has so many ups and downs
