Actually disrespect is a transitive verb that requires the suffix ful to make it a proper usage. Just because society in general has dumbed down in the last several years doesn't make it right. How do people use it as a non transitive word? Im not sure i have heard people do this myself. But as Motown said, language does change. Try reading Chaucer and tell me how much of it you understand. |
