I would have thought the woman would be swarming over you. i wonder why people think this. i also wonder if women think this about me. i'm not really fishing here, just wondering. it's one thing to assume that when you see people together that they may be together, but to just look at someone and assume that they're taken, that confuses me. I think it is the mentality that if a person is "hot" (which btw I'm by no means in my own eyes  ) they probably have a lot of attention and therefore a higher chance of meeting someone they will click with. Truth is, since I've been back I've gotten maybe 4 or 5 responses and no first contacts.

That I take a break from the site now and then? I don't mean like a week here or there, I mean like months between being active. I dunno, I guess you reach a point where nothing serious ever happens and you wonder what the hell your doing. Am I alone here? You just need to toggle your expectations. I originally joined up thinking this site would help me go from "single" to "not single." I haven't had much luck at all, and so dismissed the notion of meeting single women through here long ago. Nonetheless, I still come here regularly to navigate the forums. But it is rare that I click on the search option. |

Taking a break is normal and healthy. I don't think on this site you are in danger of hurting your chance by disappearing for a while.

A break from the site could allow for more people from you're area to join the site while you are out looking elsewhere. You can then meet/write to them when you return. |
