Any thoughts?

A new bill has been introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives called the National Emergency Centers Act or HR 645. This bill, if passed into law, will direct the Secretary of Homeland Security to establish national emergency centers otherwise known as FEMA camp facilities on military installations. This is scary piece of legislation considering that the powers that be have already set in motion an agenda to setup a nationwide marital law apparatus through U.S. Northern Command and the Department of Homeland Security.

I guess in 2003 when the government gave Halburton over 800 billion dollars to build Holocaust style prison camps in the US was just the beginning. I guess militarized police, surveillance cameras and a domestic military command is not enough. Along with the patriot act and military commissions act. What exactly is this protecting the American public from, and is the cause good enough to sacrifice all the rights that made America what we are.

This is wrong. We need to stand up as a people and write our representatives and congressmen and let them no that we will not stand for such an outright violation of our freedom. After 9/11 the people gave government unconditional support to lead us to believe what we were doing was the right thing. Since they adopted this power it seems to have caused a sickness among political leaders, a sickness that has corrupted the ‘elected’ officials and stripped us of our rights. It has also led us into deeper debt then that of the depression and put us in a very unfavorable position in the world. What is going on in America now very much represents that of Nazi Germany in the 30s. We all know how that turned out. Do you want the next holocaust to be on American soil because so many of us were ignorant of mind, or to wrapped up in our own thoughts to see outside them for just one minute and realize how wrong all this is? The time was yesterday people.

What I just couldn't find was that Congressional Black Caucus member, and impeached federal judge, Alcee Hastings, a DEMOCRAT, wrote the bill...

I went through Hurricane Andrew and it was apalling how unprepared the state was for that storm. I personally don't know if this is just the same paranoia I have been seeing in almost ever search engine link to this bill, or if it is actually something we have needed for a long time. I would like to see some real coordination from start to finish in emergencies.

I have read a few of your posts, and claiming that you aren't partisan, is like me claiming I'm not. You had no problem typing Holocaust, halliburton, Nazis, and the Patriot Act.

If you are just raising the issue, then the most important piece should be the author of the bill. Aren't we supposed to rise up and stop it? How you gonna do that if you don't know who wrote the bill?

I guarantee if it was a Republican his Name would be in the title of the thread.

I am aware that our government has done similar things in the past but I don't know that I see this as the same thing, I don't see a conspiracy here unless someone can prove it to me. I am certainly not getting any thing on the internet but people ranting about it. I am a bit confused by this one, so I am going to hang back until I get more information.

We cannot allow concentration type camps here in the US again. It was done to the Japanese here in the states during the war but it was not right then.

I don't care who introduced it, I don't care what the sick logic is behind it.

We are not like the devils who would allow this type of activity and I sure won't stand still for it to happen here.

Dont worry, it will only happen if the Republicans are in Office.

What the uninitiated don't realize is that the hardware to make this bill a reality has been in place and was started under Bush/North and part of it was uncovered during Iran/Contra. Rex 84.

No president did more to open the door for this fema camp crap than Bush the Lesser.
