some men don't like it when a woman is physically stronger than they are, or more physically fit than they are.


you have to think about traditional gender roles.
(not that i think this is right by any means)

men were/are brought up to be the strong/physical bread winner type of people. we are taught to be the shoulder, the rock, the defender, the protector, the provider, the leader, the problem solver. masculine.
like it or not, these roles are still being taught today. boys play football and girls don't, etc. yes there has been progress made toward tearing down these stereotypes/stigmas, but we still have a long way to go.
anytime a woman takes on a role that would normally belong to a male, some men find it threatening to their masculinity. i personally don't care as long as the woman doesn't throw it in my face.
example
"some man you are, i make more money than you."

so even though you may be harmless, somebody may still feel threatened.

such is the world we live in.
