Give me the wisdom of heart to see,
The difference between the courageous soldier
and the little boy he used to be.
Give me the understanding so that I may know,
Now that duty calls him, he must go.

Thanks so much guys! He recently told me that his unit will be shipping to Iraq in the near future and as any mother I do and will worry about him. I plan to say this prayer everyday.

Please feel free to share this with any military mothers you know. I would hope that it would give them some comfort as having written it has done for me.
