I am a shy peson usely and I dont usaly say much but I hate everything that is hapenning here. I came to this site to try to get friends and help with me talking to new people. this place came hightly recomended by a friend and he was right the people here just welcomed me with open arms and that was 1 month and a half ago. And i started to be alot less shy. this site is dear to me cuz this is were all my friends are. I dont have any in the real world, cuz like I said I am too shy to talk to people so lets all put these diffrences aside and peace. |

You have to remember that JSH is nothing more than a dance hall where a
dance is taking place. Whats happened is that the same people on the same bus have been coming to the dance for a while and they get all comfortable with the DJ and his style of rythym. Then another bus comes along and the people on that bus are only coming to the dance for the same reason as the locals. They are not gatecrashers and they will mix when the time is right for them, but a post like this does nothing to assist in the transition. The "old-timers" here have issues with each other. There are personality clashes that show themselves on a regular basis. So, when you turn up to a dance in a new area, the thing you do is dance with the people you know. Its safe. The DJ is still playing the same old tunes, but its now being recd in a different way. There are different dances going on. Why do you feel you need to explain this to us though? |

Hi Morena!! You have some valid points to make, of course re. people
introducing themselves. Many did, I was beaten to it by a dear friend - she introduced me, and I am thankful. I think for those who have not done so, it may be that they are still finding their feet and I am sure it would purely be an oversight, not intentional. The structure and format of each site is different, we are still learning....... Please just have a little patience with us?? Thanks. |

Well said, Belushi.
And for everyone that feels ignored when they simply post a sensible observation/comment on a serious thread - most of us do read the whole thread, and do think about what everyone says. We only comment if we feel we have some additional to -add-, or something we didn't understand, or if something resonated -particularly- strongly for us. So unless you ask a question or say something controversial which will stir up a conversation, I think its normal to 'not respond' to someone else's post - it doesn't mean we're ignoring you! Personally, I prefer threads that run that way. It means there is more substance, less redundancy, less chatter. For fun conversation, we still have the 'coffee houses' and 'Would you ____ the person above you' threads... |
