Did a person's preferences make them shallow? How is it that if you prefer someone that's more educated, or taller, shorter, older, younger, whatever it is, make you shallow??
If none of us had any preferences then none of us should be single. We should all be dating the next male or female that comes along.

I can't help who I am and am not attracted to. There has to be an attraction there, on both sides. He has to like me and i have to like him. I don't think that's shallow.

I don't think that preferences make us shallow. Those that claim preferences are shallow are just insecure with themselves.

Hey Jilly!

I don't think it's a person's preference that makes them shallow...I think it's the people that judge those people. Does that make sense?

Like on my profile I have something about "a few extra pounds", I get hate mail from some guys....I can only assume it's because they are fat....I don't know. And I guess I don't really care if someone thinks I'm shallow because of that. I just don't want to be killed during sex....ya know???!! lmao

I prefer a woman who does all the cooking and cleaning and has big boobs. That doesn't make me shallow:angry: laugh

I'm sick of people calling me shallow because I want to date someone that I have things in common with. I mean give me a break.

I think that is your preference. If you're not attracted to someone, then you're not. You can't make yourself be attracted to someone.

Too many people do not put education very high up on the priority list, and too many others keep allowing the problem to perpetuate.

I meant shallow because, it seemed like some were basing there opinion on a person do to there bad spelling. Judge a person off of there spelling alone. Just spelling. That is what I meant by that comment

I don't have preferences, personally find them limiting but that is just my opinion. I'm out of the dating pool for a good while, too many snakes in the brush!smokin

shallow because you have preferences? never But honesty lacks in profile people being honest about themselves laughable sometimes.. And the fact that if your just not attracted to someone "feelings" get hurt.. so people lash out at you.. I don't think it will ever end.. we are taught this game playing at a veryearly age and it sticks with us.. somedays I just want to say frick it and go hibernate away from others.frustrated
