What is your impression of this program? This is the first time I use it, looking for feedback pro/con program.

It's the best anti-virus I've ever used personally. None better.

The lightest antivirus I ever used. Fast.
Note: do not get the "security" deal. It's bloated and ranks low. Customer support: sucks. You have to call to even renew the license (this may only happen to me, since I own quite a few licenses, and eset seem to mix them up, so web-renewal doesn't seem to find a correct one). Effectiveness: Over the time of four years, I've got two bad incidents, both from visiting sites normal people stay away from, so I say it's perfectly fine for normal people. Where I tread, no antivirus can help, I just need to learn to avoid the bad situations better. Overall, I say you'd be pressed to find better. Warning: It has appeared in stores recently. Usually, this is a mark of death. This means the funds are going to be re-routed to advertising and fool-proofing. This means a company has achieved what they define a reaping stage. So, I am looking for new "unknown" antivirus program. |

Not too bad for Anti-Virus, but I'll stick with AVG. AVG has everything NOD32 has, but much better support both online and by phone. All in all, I don't think I'd switch.

I'd have to disagree with Achilles. AVG scans less things than NOD32 or even Avast!
Example. I tried to download a virus on purpose. Both AVG and NOD32 caught and elimated it. I stuck a CD with a virus on it and guesss what...NOD32 caught it and blocked it, AVG did not. There a 3 ...Avast!, NOD32, and Kaspersky that did this, still looking for more. I personally use NOD32. BUT! Big note Avast is a resource eater on any system and NOD32 can be if on an older system, but is rather light on gaming systems for the security it presented. NOD32 is a good bet. |

Added note...yes, I purposely attempt to "break" software to test abilities. Kinda fun, but I'd like to do it for a job....

Are you speaking of NOD Security Suite or Antivirus only? One of the systems, I am using NOD antivirus on, is a few years old athlon X2 3800, and I don't even notice it. |

I use Avira Anti-Vir, and it's pretty good. Detects all the baddies and it's free, too- none of that yearly registration crap Avast! makes you do.

I have found NOD32 to be super fast and doesn't slow down computer at all.
Does anyone have a better version/program or recommendation for Spybot??? |

I'm talking 5 or more years old-ishsome don't have the RAM to go with those programs...or the processor. |

You can set up AVG to scan discs as well, but it requires the user to access the interface under advanced setting to do this. For an average user, any antivirus that runs on automatic is good for those who just want to install and forget about it.
