my little neise had a hamster about 6 months ago if not longer that was smaller baby sized and got loose and they never found it. tonight i go outside to get something out of the car to almost stepping on a large full grown hamster the same light brown color with white markings on it. it took off as i jumped and went inside to get my sister to see if it was the same one. well couldn't find it. its pretty cold outside here and that little guy is just hanging out outside and running around like it isnt bothering him. you think its the same one or just another one from a neighbor that got loose too? seems pretty weird to me and shocked me. i want to get ahold of it now, lol. and yes it was a hamster not a mouse.

Could be. If there is a food source like a pet food bowl a hamster might not go that far.

Either it is the same hamster, and it has been doing well for itself, and would try to escape back into the outside world.

Or it's not the same hamster, and it doesn't really matter anyway. If you can trap it and get it inside, then delouse it, that's that.
