Topic: Dont IM me.......... | |

it's officela mingle2 sucks. Not so fast.... I've talked to 4 of of my Mutual Matches, already met one and things are progressing slowly considering we both have busy schedules. So far, just friends. I have also talked at length to another of those 4, with whom I've become dear friends over the past month and we will be meeting next week (due to living so far apart). I am leaving my options open and letting things progress naturally. So far I have met 3 friends, any one of whom could develop into something more. The other two remain in contact once in a while. So, I would say Mutual Match can work, it just depends on whether one or the other makes a move... just like anything else. Cast your line, you might get a bite. |

Well that is your view and thoughts etc. It's nice while this so called free site works for some and doesn't work for others. I have a right to my views and thoughts and I'm intitled to them. |

I was getting IMs from all sorts of ladies at one point. Some were obviously bogus (think Nigerian check scam) while others were just plain out there. So I put down in my profile summary that I don't do IMs right off the bat (email first) and have made it clear that I won't respond to them. You'd be surprised as to how many people don't read THAT part of my summary. |

Personally it gives me the information I need to block them.
Since some are too cowardly to say that garbage in open forums it is about the only way you know unless one of your local on-line friends gives you the heads up. I know it makes you feel creepy, or mad as He-l, but the more you feed the beast by mentioning it in your profile or forums you are giving them the real buzz they are after which is power over a woman. Unfortuneately unless they are clearly threatening or obscene being rude and obnoxious is allowed by his right to free speech. But you always have the right to tune him out or tell them you find them offensive and to leave you alone. My suggestion is to send a copy of any email you find offensive to Mingle. If you send and answer be specific "Do not contact me again." Date it. and make a copy if you can. Then; even if you don't want to, stop and say no more. Then forward that also to Mingle. That gives them a great deal more power to enforce that they do not contact you through the program or harrass you. Each time a member does this the offender is signing their own death warrant as a chronic nusciance. It makes it much faster to get rid of them. Sorry that you had to deal with this. (((HUGS))) |
