" MY AGE "

I"m as young as I feel, and as old as I look,
you can"t judge the contents by the cover of a book.
I"m young at heart,in dress,in ways,
and told so often I don"t look my age.
I turn many young heads wherever I go,
I"m attractive to them, when my age they don"t know.
I"ve matured for the best, the older I"ve got,
which is just as well, since 36 my birthdays I"ve forgot.
I"ve always been honest ,whenever been asked,
and when my age was told, the attraction didn"t last.
So time has stood still since I was 36 ,
when you meet me you"ll like me ,for the way I Iook,the way I kiss.
The only woman who needs to know my age and my strife,
is the woman I"ll love and loves me, she will be the love of my life..
In true love my age, no difference should make,
So come on girls just give me a break.

Post script,...When I wrote this a long time ago ,you met your future partner at a disco or nightclub.Not on line where you are given my age.

Nice poem and as for age,,,it turns into ones mind in a cage,lol. I have been seen as OLD to many and Young to some.
But really now, it is of little thought to be seen as ANY AGE...
As long as I'am SEEN,,,wink,lol,lol

That means they at least THOUGHT of me in some way......lol

I have felt old all my life which doesn't seem a bad thing to me because it has given me a feel that time is precious. Sometimes I find it irratateing that so many celebrate youth but I figure with time they will be more wise. It is sad when people are discounted regardless of their age.
