If you want to have means, you need to look at the people around you, find some desires to satisfy, and satisfy them. You have to be useful to others.

If one thinks that it is immoral in any way (porn business), then all he needs to do is not desire their product. Making others to suspend their desires is immoral to begin with.

Now, banks. What is the business of the bank? Banks make money by charging interest on money that do not exist.

You and I are legally prohibited from doing so. "Legally" means banks lobbied congress to make such a law.

If you weren't prohibited, this is how you'd proceed:

Do you have $100? Say you loan it under 10% a year. Year later, you should get your $100 back, and $10 which is interest.

If you have $10,000, that would be $1000 a year, that you can make charging 10% interest.

The problem: $1000 isn't a whole lot of money to bother with this whole deal.

Correct. How about you finding, say $100,000? You could. You could sell your house if you live in Kali or Florida, and get that much. You don't have to be rich. You could borrow some from others too. With $100,000 and charging 10%, you can make nice $10,000 grand a year!

As you can see, $10,000 are firmly within your reach. But, most of us can't live on that. Ok, then to make $100,000 a year, you only need to find a million. Here is the thing. You are unlikely to find or borrow a million.

Now, finally, back to how banks do it:

Say you have $100,000. You simply loan out that and nine times of that, (even though you only have "that", and none of the "nine times of that"!) That is how you can make 100% interest by charging only 10%.

What do I mean "simply loan out what you do not have"? That's right, just pretend you do, and write a check. It's that simple and that legal. (If you are a bank).

You and me, we would be convicted of fraud, if we ever try to do anything like that. Because we do not have the license to have a nice life. Banks do have that license.
