I define "clingy" as needing to know what you are doing, what you are thinking about, who you are talking to, every second. As I get older, I find that I need more space than I used to. Please be interested in me, and I will always be interested in you, but I don't need to hear, or give a minute by minute account of the day.

Great explanation...
Also those people who don't like to be alone? They are not a good match for me. I want to go grocery shopping alone for F's sake... and do NOT talk to me while I'm using the bathroom. |

I like my space, but am interested in my partners day as well.....I don't find clingy to be interested, but constantly on the phone calling me and wanting to know what I am doing constantly drives me nutz and away. I do have a job and friends and hobbies, Gotta let me enjoy them. If not you know where the door is. And anyone I date, I tell them this.... Oh yes, it will be my way and the guy to replace is right around the corner so deal with or leave.....no problem for me whether you are here or not.

That reminds me of a time a colleague coming into the ladies restroom looking for me because my VP was on the phone. AND I CARE BECAUSE ????????????????? For goodness sake .. take a chill pill dude. Wait.... uh oh!
I do want you to talk to me when I'm in the bathroom if there is no more toilet paper!! However, if there is no more toilet paper it is because you used the last of it without replacing the roll, just like you put the empty milk carton back in the fridge, left only the ends of the bread, and left for work without taking out the trash to the curb, but yet leaving the trash can inside without a liner. Duh! (Sorry, just reminiscing about my days of being married) |

Ohh, clingy women are hot

Hmmm, well it blurs the lines of need versus want. I am a very independent person. Two lives become one in marriage, sure, but I will never be a part of someone else. I would be a compliment, not a contribution. Makes sense? Like the old saying I have often heard, to remember that men are "accessories", not "life support". |

define clingy From what the author wrote in this thread, I would think it's just the desire to be with another person a lot more than casual dating provides. And a willingness to expose your thoughts and desires to each other equally. A passion that allows you to connect on a deeper plane than a lot of people experience. I think she's found someone to make her really happy, and sounds like he's happy, too) |
