that can not be seen?
Is there love and friendliness
just waiting to speak
or is there a mysterous hate
shown beneath those teeth?

What is in a hug
given with so much care?
Is there peace and hope
in those loving hands
Or greed behind
those hurtfull arms?

What is in a song
that can not be heard?
Is there freedom and joy
within those meaningful words.
Or is destruction waiting to
unfold in such works?

What is in our world today
that we choose to overlook?
Is it pain and destruction
that seems to make us cry.
Or is it love and truth
that can save our lives.
