I use to have that problem, now while I am home, if I have the tv onor my dvd player I have it velcro to my side to prevent that from even happening.

After my daughter gets at it, it can't be found for days.......and she's 16!!!! I thought that would have ended when she got passed the terrible two's!!

i found one of mine it took 4 years but now i have 2 for that tv.it was 39 for a new one
 my friend drilled a hole in his and but 50 pound test line on it to his lazy boy and never lost it.

before the great invention of remote controls my dad used to make me get up and turn the dial(remember those)to change the chanell, he even had hand signals for every chanel. Funny he never lost me.

I always wondered what he did when I wasnt home. Of course that could be the reason I got grounded all the time.
