Why is it that the old TV shows, such as Andy Griffith or I Love Lucy, always seemed to try to solve their problems with deception??? It is like the entire show is based on the suspense of how they are going to get caught in their deception. Damned liars and cheats anyway.

unless you only watch PBS they have not changed the formula for most tv shows. even so called reality tv shows are based on deception
