In a thought universe, saying that something "does not exist" only proves that it does exist, for if it truly did not exist, no one would even think of it. That is the paradox of a thought universe. Well I guess that would only mean that there is no abstract thought that humans arent capable of conjuring. You can even imagine nothing. I would also assume that there is no word that a human could not conceive of. There is a tribe in Africa that speaks entirely in clicks and strange sounds that are nothing like traditional words or what we perceive as language. |

I find that fascinating. I think a cockroach tried to communicate with me one day. Cockroaches have been on earth since before humans and they say that they will be here long after we are gone. Perhaps they have a language all of their own. Usually these large bugs run real fast when they have been spotted by humans, but one day this large cockroach individual actually stood up on his hind legs and faced me. He seemed to be waving his tiny little legs at me and his feelers were going this way and that. He looked like he was trying to reason with the giant human monster. (me) I imagined him telling his buddies... "Maybe we can communicate with them.. let me try." Anyway, I thought it was too creepy. I stepped on him. With malice and vengence. I don't like them. eeewwww. |

That is kind of creepy. I would have done the same thing. Im afraid of large insects. I mean I can respect them for what they are and like you say, for how long they have been here but they still scare the b-jesus out of me. I was in a youth hostile in New Orleans once which is muggy, tropical weather and they were everywhere, huge roaches. uhh.
