IS, living alone in a house where once there was a partner and kids.and eating at the table with empty chairs amidst.
IS, Cooking for yourself, so you have a sandwich instead,watching TV.till 4.00am then going to bed.
IS, Waking in the morning with no-one beside you,and gardening without the kids helping too.
IS, Ironing a shirt becomes a chore,and shopping for one when it used to be more.
IS, Washing up and having to dry as well,and hanging out washing and bringing it in after a rainy spell.
IS, Making a brew in a cup not a pot,and sitting around when the jobs to be done are a lot.
IS, Driving alone when theres seating for four,and bathing and showering without your loved one anymore.
IS, Being on your own most of the day and all of the night,and sleeping in a double bed when a single would suffice.
IS, Walking and listening to no footsteps but your own,and hoping that somebody wants to speak to you on the phone.
IS, Talking to your pets as though they were your children,and dreading Christmas coming around again.
IS, Christmas dinner with friends year after year,and remembering presents and cards from the kids were so dear.
IS, The kisses on the cheek from the kids ,you no longer get,and giving your love and affection now only to your pet.
IS, Drying your own tears over something thats sad,and wondering why your not going mad.
IS, Missing the love you got from your mate,and not having one night stands date after date.
IS, Not making love as often as you"d like to,and searching for happiness with a partner anew.
IS, Living in hope for true love the third time around,and praying that one day soon your new partner is found.
